Frequently asked questions
Why does business English not work for tech teams?
Generic business English teaches topics like travel and networking that most engineers never use, while skipping the situations they face daily: stand-ups, code review, retros, and technical discussions. The practice does not match the real work, so it rarely transfers.
What is the difference between IT English and business English?
Business English is general workplace language for an average office role. IT English is role-specific and built around software workflows, using the team’s own vocabulary from Jira, pull requests, and sprint ceremonies.
Can a strong engineer still struggle with English at work?
Yes, and it is common. Someone can pass an English exam and still go silent in a fast-moving stand-up, because the exam measured different language and the practice never matched real meeting conditions.
Does role-specific training work for mixed-level teams?
Yes. People are assessed and grouped by level and by the situations they need to handle. Mixed-level teams are normal.
How is the training kept relevant to our actual work?
The practice uses your team’s real meetings and vocabulary. The starting point is the roles on the team and the conversations on their calendars, not a fixed textbook.
Do you cover distributed teams across several countries?
Yes. We run multi-country programmes for EU-based and relocated IT teams as a single managed programme with consistent reporting.
